Here are the pictures I promised! I am VERY pleased with them. Too bad you can't see them bigger! The picture at Whatcom Falls makes great desktop wallpaper lol
This weekend I talked Chris into being my subject/model! We took my camera out to a local park on Saturday and waterfall near our house on Sunday. Chris actually agreed to go with me twice! yah . Here is a sneak peak of the pictures we took. I will post more later this week.
I just wanted to pass on the link for My brother and Sister in Law's blog. They are taking a picture of my adorable nephew Austin everyday for a year there are some really cute pictures. Enjoy!
First off when I started this blog I really didn't think all my posts would be weather related! Well, here we go again. The weather-man is calling this weather the Pineapple Express coming from Hawaii. I find that hard to believe!
Whatcom County and Bellingham areas have MAJOR flooding. This is due to a lot of rain in the last couple days, melting snow, and the fact that the ground is so wet from the snow that it can't absorb the water. Thank GOD we live up on a hill. I pretty sure that isn't what I was thinking as I wrote my last post though about the snow. This flooding hasn't effected Chris or I directly. However it has been a huge problem for many people. There are several roads closed due to water over the roadway, many flooding homes and even a few mudslides. One of my co-workers has about 4 inches of water surround his house right now. He turned off the power and left. Not much else you can do at that point right? Here are some pictures I "borrowed" from Bellinghamherald.com.
The first picture is my favorite. This is a main city street and there is a guy on a wave runner!
Chris was such a sweetheart last Sunday he spent a good part of his afternoon shoveling at least a foot of snow off our entire long driveway! So we could park in our garage for the first time in a couple weeks. In 3 years of living in our house this is the most snow we have seen and the longest amount of time that we have had to park at the bottom. He did have to have a little fun first though....
